Franzi became a consultant in 2013 when she realised that her unique understanding of education and the arts, coupled with a passion for mentoring allowed her to support clients in a broad spectrum of areas. She lives in Milton Keynes but works all over the UK.
As a qualified and experienced secondary/FE teacher and HE lecturer and tutor (UG and PG) with a PGCE and Master’s degree in Education from the University of Cambridge, Franzi's academic career has equipped her with the skills to measure impact in a strategic and direct way and to mentor others to do the same. Her academic foci are varied and encompass alternative education, culture, technology and media literacy. Her PhD in Education investigated the effects of film literacy resources in primary literacy lessons.
Franzi is an enthusiastic project initiator and manager of festivals, events and organisations. She is passionate about self-sustainability and advocates independent food production through her organisation MK Food Revolution in her current hometown of Milton Keynes. Most recently, she founded The MK Biergarten, a multi-award-winning community pub and craft beer bottles shop. Small business development and third sector sustainability are at the heart of her professional work.
